The role as Tech Lead

As Tech Lead for Grade’s recruitment system, Grade Jobadmin, in Bodø, you will play a key role in driving the technical direction of one of our core products.
You’ll balance hands-on development with technical leadership — ensuring code quality, system maintainability, and development velocity remain high.

You will act as the primary technical point of contact within the Jobadmin team, collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and architects to turn ideas into reliable, scalable, and user-friendly software.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Actively participate in coding, reviewing pull requests, and solving technical challenges.

• Own the product’s technical quality and ensure clean, secure, and maintainable code.

• Lead architectural decisions and ensure alignment with long-term product strategy.

• Collaborate with DevOps to optimize local development and production environments.

• Ensure the system is well-documented — from architecture to onboarding materials.

• Estimate efforts, assess risks, and define solution strategies for roadmap initiatives.

• Support product management, sales, and marketing with technical insights when needed.

• Mentor developers and promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Participate in cross-team Tech Lead meetings to share best practices and align on common standards.

• Drive innovation and encourage knowledge sharing through tech talks, workshops, and hackathons.

Who you are

We believe you are someone who:

• Has solid experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Developer, or similar role.

• Is a skilled Full-Stack Developer, ideally with experience in Java, Spring Boot, Vue, React, .NET, or TypeScript.

• Understands system-level architecture and how different components interact.

• Takes ownership of code quality, testing, and CI/CD practices.

• Promotes security, performance, and reliability across the stack.

• Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Enjoys mentoring others and fostering teamwork and knowledge sharing.

• Speaks and writes Norwegian and English fluently.
